This is a utility for which helps you convert binary hex values to readable text and vice versa. This is of course only possible if there are any readable characters contained in the binary data:
As you may notice this is a full-featured HEX editor. You can switch the data to TEXT output by pressing the TEXT field in the status bar (left bottom corner). All details about this editor can be found in the manual section named Editor for Binary/Octetstring Attributes.
Please note: No active LDAP connection is needed for this converter tool - you can use it independently from the currently browsed directory tree.
